Warno

Date:

Sunday, April 5th, 2026

Time:

21:00

Weather:

Heavy thunderstorm and rainfall

Situation:

The raid on the island resort was mostly a success, with the capture of Colonel James Mason and the unfortunate accidental death of the scientiest Miguel Mendez. While the contact Hobson was not present at the meeting, we were still able to gain intel regarding a pharmaceutical company called Aethelgard Biopharma. They own a research facility at Air Station Mike-69, at the top of the mountain by the Presa Alta Dam. This Air Station is of critical importance to our mission of uncovering the secrets behind what Res Publica is doing here on Isla Pera.

In addition to the raid, the city of Bocachico has been successfully liberated by allied and rebel forces working in tandem. However, the detonation of the EMP device at the convoy site caused a significant power outage across the region, cutting off critical energy to the population. The Presa Alta Dam was directly affected by the EMP, and it plays a critical role in the energy infrastructure of Isla Pera.

Res Publica likely has no intentions of repairing the dam.  Aerial reconaissance indicate that a general retreat is taking place towards Tagua Airbase. Rebel scouts have also reported the enemy have been setting up barricades and explosives on the Presa Alta Dam, in efforts likely to slow us down. While a thunderstorm with severe weather conditions has been forecasted to fall in this operation, top brass has ordered the go-ahead to attempt to save the dam; time is short to deny the enemy the opportunity to outright destroy it.

Enemy Forces:

OPFOR:
  • Res Publica
    • Marine Infantry
      • AAVPs and LAVs in support.
    • Airborne Infantry
      • Equipped with Merlins and Wildcats
    • Special Forces
      • Confirmed use of reconnaissance drones
    • Carrier Fleet
      • 1x LHD (Bravo), 1x Destroyer (Alpha) along eastern coast.
        • These ships have retreated back towards the enemy carrier and are screening for Res Publica's evacuation of the island.
      • Enemy carrier in standoff position to far east
Mission Maker Note #1: Enemy Fleet

While the enemy fleet is marked on the map, they will not be physically present during the operation. No need to worry about getting shot down by a CIWS this op. :)

Friendly Forces:

BLUFOR:
  • 17th Ranger Battalion
  • 9th Air Commando Group
  • Resistance Fighters - Família do Norte (Family of the North)
    • The Family is a known criminal organization based in northern Brazil. They are well funded and well equipped due to their involvement with drug trafficking and other criminal businesses. An unsteady alliance has developed between us and the Family in the interest of removing the much larger threat of Res Publica.
    • Stand-in faction will be 3CB FIA.

Civilian Considerations:

Please take great care in limiting damage to civilian infrastructure, especially the Presa Alta Dam and Air Station Mike-69.

Mission:

Top priority is to prevent the destruction of the Presa Alta Dam. Critical infrastructure has been identified that are key to its stability and must be secured. These are two surge towers at the base of the dam, a power transformer at the top of the dam in the southeast, and the turbine control tower at the top of the dam in the north. Be wary of the towns of Cambulos (065-050) and Avila (057-030) as they are likely to be occupied.

Once the Dam is secured, advancing to Air Station Mike-69 is the next priority. Ensure minimal damage is done to the site, and recoverinvestigate anythe potentialAir personnel back to base alive for questioning. If any intel is present to be seized, do so.Station.

Lastly, Tagua Airbase would the be last main evacuation point for most of Res Publica's forces. Deny as many transport vehicles from departing Isla Pera as possible and seize the Airbase.

Execution:

Isla Pera Airport has been opened up for air operations, with many of the refugees successfully relocated to the Brazilian mainland. In addition, a forward operating base will be set up at the city of Bocachico for deployment of ground vehicles.
