Situation:
3rd Marines have established defensive positions in and around the town of Tanouka in order to prevent enemy forces from seizing the town and disrupting regional operations. Defensive lines have been established to the south (DL Cheeks), west (DL Yams), and north (DL Cakes) of Tanouka.
17th Ranger Battalion has been tasked with establishing a forward defensive blocking position east of Tanouka at the village of Vagalala. This defensive line, designated DL Buns, serves as the primary eastern shield preventing enemy forces from reaching Tanouka and threatening Marine defensive positions.

Most Likely Course of Action:
Enemy forces push heavy from the east of DL Buns with some additional forces from the northern road but are successfully held back at Vagalala. Tanouka is given plenty supplies.
Most Deadly Course of Action:
DL Buns is broken. Tanouka is overwhelmed and the 3rd Marines are flanked from the east and defeated.

Execution:
The battalion is to hold the eastern front at DL Buns in Vagalala. Zones should be fortified and CSWs prepared for a long defense. Mortar pit should be established in a safe zone within DL Buns. Friendlies are not to cross the blue box edge under any circumstances. HOLD but do not push.
Objectives:
- DL Buns
- Defend roads into the town and prevent all enemy forces from approaching Tanouka.
- OBJ Devon
- Fly supplies into Tanouka while ground forces hold at DL Buns.
