Situation:

[PlaceholderFollowing text]the use of multiple tactical nuclear weapons in Farabad and the subsequent land grab for natural resources in Africa, the 17th Ranger Battalion have been called upon by the nearby neighboring island region of Sahrani, which due to the global chaos and loss of international control by NATO, has been taken control of by the Karzeghistan Royal Guard. Almost the entire civilian population took up arms to fight against the invasion but most either lost their lives or were captured. Very few groups of the rebellion still exist but they have called for aid in exchange for the use of their island and 80% of their natural resources, so long as they get their livelihoods back.

This is only a small portion of the entirety of the Karzeghistan Royal Guard and they are not directly being commanded by Padishah Rustam III. Instead their commander is a foreign beneficiary believed to have distant ties to Cosa Nostra (The Sicilian/American Mafia) who made his wealth through the mining and manufacturing of rare earth minerals. His name is Rigatoni Jones. He has grown close to Padishah Rustam III through an advisory role in making the use of Karzeghistan's own rare earth mineral mines.

At the moment, the only information the rebellion could provide was a location being used to communicate with Karzeghistan forces off-island and highly suggested no-fly zones.

Civilian Considerations:

All civilians took up arms to fight back against the Karzeghistan Royal Guard but were defeated. Remaining rebels are sparse.

Mission:

[PlaceholderA text]modest FOB has been established on the east coast of Sahrani. However, due to the main conflict currently occurring in Africa the 17th Ranger Battalion do not have access to their usual assortment of equipment and vehicles. The rebellion have provided their only remaining vehicles and while outdated, it will have to do.

In the interest of trying something a little different, I'm requesting we do not bring any AT weapons above LAT. If you want to make it more interesting we can also drop the use of various optics this one time and/or use some older guns but I won't force that. I mostly care about the LAT thing.

Execution:

[PlaceholderThe text]battalion will proceed to OBJ Penne to clear out and destroy all vehicles/equipment being held there to prevent any larger forces being brought in from off-island. More objectives are sure to follow but this is currently the only information we have. Always be on the lookout for Rigatoni Jones, we have no image of him but we MUST take him alive.

Objectives:

  • OBJ Penne
    • Assault Bagango TV Station.
      • KRG have strong air defense at the TV Station.
      • Recommend if inserting by helicopter that pilots makes good use of the terrain and make their LZ's a safe distance away for ground forces to proceed on-foot.
    • Destroy all equipment (including radio towers, transformers, etc).
    • Destroy all enemy vehicles.
  • Await further instruction.
