Situation

Week 5 concluded in a hard-fought failure. Despite strong momentum and preparation, the 17th Regiment's convoy was ambushed during its push into AO Hero’s Trial. A devastating IED strike on the minesweeper in a previously cleared town triggered delays and exposed the column to a highly coordinated CSAT trap. The operation quickly deteriorated as CSAT forces, under the precise direction of Shapur Pai, launched a multipronged ambush that stalled the advance and destroyed our FOB truck, ending any chance of establishing FOB Himmel’s Legacy.
The retreat that followed was grueling. CSAT unleashed armor, artillery, and elite infantry, forcing the 17th into a defensive stand at FOB Charlie while Jableh and other key areas fell in simultaneous counterattacks. Pai’s assault wasn’t just a military success—it was a psychological one. His tactics reflect the unmistakable influence of Tyrone, suggesting Pai may be acting as his direct surrogate in this world.
Yet even in defeat, we endure. Reinforced by the 9th Air Commando Group, the 17th regrouped and counterattacked. Within days, Jableh was retaken, Dayr Hafir was cleared, and friendly forces now control half of Sector Phantom Current, steadily pushing back up the river.
This week, our mission has two critical priorities:
Throughout the week, we will focus on rebuilding trust with the local populace through humanitarian missions and civil outreach, aiming to restore stability and local cooperation.
On Saturday, we will launch a series of deep strike air assaults targeting CSAT’s ability to project force
By striking at the heart of Pai’s firepower, we aim to shatter his grip on the sector and begin turning the tide of this campaign.

Most Likely Course of Action:
QRF and defense in place with local garrison's.
Most Deadly Course of Action:
Detection and Air Intercept of Air Assault forces while en route.
Civilian Considerations:
Present throughout the AO. Any injured civilians are to be medically treated using BASIC BANDAGES. All civilian vehicles and dwellings are to be spared when at all possible. Killing civilians, destroying their property, or not treating them will give rise to potential IEDs and rebel forces arrayed against us.
Local sentiment is at all time low and we can expect IEDs and guerilla attacks on our forces at held locations and in support of CSAT
POW's:
Any and all POWs are to be sought when a location has been captured. A killed POW has the same effect as a killed civilian. First use a ZIPTIE on surrendered forces, then use ACE interact to move the prisoner and transport them to a FOB main building. THIS MUST BE A PRIORITY LOGI TASK! No POWs are to be left for pickup as they despawn. Best efforts shall be made to arrange pickup or keep POWs with the unit until pickup can be arranged.

Mission:
Execution:
Weekly Operational Plan for Sector Phantom Current
24/7 Operations
Clear Remaining Enemy Forces from Sector Phantom Current and Sector Sapphire Reach to eliminate CSAT presence and stabilize coalition control across key terrain.
Rebuild trust with the local population through consistent security, restraint in operations, and visible humanitarian support.
Conduct reconnaissance on CSAT positions near Al Kareem and Al Vegh, with a focus on identifying weaknesses in the camouflaged artillery battery and airfield defenses ahead of Saturday’s deep strikes.
Disrupt CSAT movements and patrol routes through precision raids and area denial tactics without escalating into full-scale engagement.
Midweek Operations – Humanitarian Aid
OBJs NULLSITE, ECHO, and HOLLOW
Liberate and deliver 2 pallets of supplies to each village.

Saturday Objectives - Deep Strike Air Assaults
OBJ DISTANT HOWL – Destroy an artillery battery east of Al Kareem, take out a radio tower, and liberate the Village of Mukanya.
OBJ COLD HANGAR – Assault the airfield near Al Vegh, crippling CSAT’s air support capabilities and reducing their strike range.
