Situation:

NATO Coalition forces have largely rallied against Chernarussian counter attacks. Friendly forces will handle the remaining pockets of paratroopers near the center of our AO. The 17th will continue towards our final goal: Capturing the NW Airfield, thus destroying Chernarus' last remaining outpost in the region. The town of Gvozdno was defended by a British mechanized company to the last man. As a result, enemy armor has been able to flow freely from the Russian border into the AO. The town of Gorka was able to receive a sizeable Chernarussian mechanized company, but they are effectively cut off. Dutch armor has attempted to penetrate from the East to no avail.

Due to major and constant anti-shipping attacks on the U.S. 7th fleet, including the sinking of the USS Liberty, the 7th fleet as pulled further out of the region. As a result, the enemy has been able to gain and maintain air superiority.

      Civilian Considerations:


        Civilians have been evacuated from the AO. Care should be taken to preserve civilian infrastructure. Civilian infrastructure occupied by OPFOR may be engaged.

        Mission:


        Echo armor must destroy enemy armor staging points at the town of Gvodzno and Gorka. At the same time, Alpha will secure the towns surrounding the airfield - Grishino, Kabanino, and Vybor - in order to secure the region surrounding the airfield in preparation for the assault on the airfield itself. After Alpha and Echo have linked up, push into the airfield and defend it from potential counter attack.

        Execution:

        Alpha and Echo will deploy from the Krasnostav Airfield in an armored column. At a point to be specified by HHC, Alpha and Echo will split up and head to respective objectives.

        Due to enemy air superiority, all JIPs should be handled via ground transportation.
