Situation

{Placeholder}3 years have passed since the disastrous pull-out of all US forces from Afghanistan. Evil has taken hold of the region in many forms. The Taliban and IS are dug in, crushing all who oppose their will as well as going toe to toe with each other. The whole region has turned into the wild west, and we are to clean it up by any means necessary.

Taliban forces have fortified FOB Todd on the West side of the river and have begun stockpiling Western weapons, equipment and vehicles. The 17th are to recover as many assets as possible and take them to either COP Stingray or the Southern Airfield. Any assets that are not recovered must be destroyed. Intel as also been provided on a special connex containing gold bars that MUST be recovered.

17th is able to recover most of the assets from the Taliban controlled FOB and prevent them from being able to use better equipment against us in future.

17th in unable to recover any assets and are defeated before being able to enter the FOB. Taliban begin using our own weapons against us.

Civilians may be in the area, although if they are spotted in the vicinity of FOB Todd, we are free to engage.

FIRE AT WILL

Mission:

The 17th Ranger Battalion will deploy from the Southern Airfield and perform either an air assault or combat jump to fight their way into the Taliban occupied FOB Todd in order to recover Western assets. RRC will deploy two sniper teams to the mountains West of the objective to provide recon and thin the enemy numbers. Alpha and Echo will then deploy into the AO and assault the FOB in order to clear it out and recover as many assets as possible. The special connex containing gold bars MUST be recovered.

Execution:

The 17th Ranger Battalion will insert into the AO via helicopter to perform either an air assault of combat jump. RRC "Stalker" will deploy two sniper teams prior to the main element's insertion to provide recon and thin the enemy numbers. Alpha will then fight their way into the objective while Echo recovery teams transport assets back to the COP or Southern Airfield while potentially under heavy fire.

Stalker will deploy sniper teams to the mountains West of the FOB Todd (OBJ Bad Company). OBJ Bad Company:

FOB Todd is expected to be heavily defended. Alpha and Echo will assault FOB Todd, clear it of all enemies, and recover as many assets as possible. The special connex containing gold bars MUST be recovered.

Sniper teams will make their way to the designated OPs and provide recon of OBJ Bad Company and take out important targets before Alpha and Echo arrive for the main assault.

Phase I: Brief

Once briefing is complete, make final adjustments to gear and mount up.

Phase II: Prep

Alpha and Echo will deploy via air assault or combat jump.

LZ/DZ to be determined by Flight Lead/Pilots. They will then assault the FOB, aiming to recover Western assets.

Look out for the special connex containing gold bars. This must be recovered. Echo will recover assets and return them to COP Stingray or the Southern Airfield, potentially under heavy fire.

• Blue: Marking suitable locations for Landing Zones.
• Red: This is used for marking enemy positions for all units to reference.
• Yellow: This is used to inform friendly forces that Immediate medical support is needed.
• Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
• Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
