Situation:

Following the loss of the city of Jableh in what many believe to be an intentionally laid trap by CSAT, the 11th MEU finds itself cut off. With a majority of CSAT forces in the area concentrated on the 11th, the 17th Rangers are tasked with utilizing naval assets to both help free the 11th MEU and deal a decisive blow to the local CSAT garrison. To this end, Intel has located what it believes to be a critical weakness in the enemy defenses along the coast. Poking a hole in the enemy forces surrounding the 11th MEU and then quickly moving on to a coastal CSAT battery and finally a daring raid on the CSAT held island off the coast. Should it be successful, this will allow the US to regain the initiative in the conflict and force CSAT back on to the defensive.

Success of this mission if of the highest priority as certain flaws in the enemy defense are to be exploited that will likely disappear if the raid fails.

Civilian Considerations:

No civilians should be present in the area for this mission. Civilian infrastructure should be maintained and preserved if possible.

Mission:

Execute a naval raid on 3 separate objective along the coast. Speed and maneuverability are key for this mission. To help overcome the enemies overwhelming AA advantage, a limited scope cyber attack is scheduled during a small window of opportunity to disable enemy short range radar and AA systems. This should allow for rotary assets to support ground forces with more freedom.

Execution:

The 17th will infill to the AO from supplied boats. Resupply and reinforcements will be delivered via air or as the 17th Ranger Battalion commander organizes.

Other transportation and support decisions will be left to the Battalion Commander
