OPORDS

  • An OPORD should include: (See previous OPORDS for example)
    • A description of the situation the unit faces.
    • The mission of the unit.
    • What supporting activities the unit will conduct in order to achieve their commander's desired end state.
    • A complete order template:
      • Situation
      • Forces in play
      • Engagement criteria
      • Mission, execution and objectives
      • Any available imagery
      • Command & Signal with asset list.
  • OPORDS should be posted within the listed time frame defined in the policy regarding Campaign Mission Operations.
