Dual-roles:
There is an important distinction to be made between "Community" roles and "Operational" roles. This is outlined in Battalion Roles.
- No single person may hold more than one operational role within an official operation.
- This means a medic is not a squad leader, an EOD is not a pilot, an auto-rifleman is not a MAT gunner, etc.
- Milsim is a team activity, one single person doing more than one thing takes away from the rest of the group.
- Any Iceberg Member playing in a 17th Ranger Battalion Operation will be limited to fire team roles unless specified by Leadership for that operation.
