Opord
Situation
During the operation on Pyrgos, documents were recovered by members of the 17th Ranger Battalion regarding potential threats to American Assets. Recon has informed us that they're preparing heavy fortifications for in anticipation of an attack. Recon has also informed us that enemy armour is moving in to form a defensive line intended to repel our friendly forces. As such, we will be moving towards the salt flats to secure the American Economic Interest Zone hereafter referred to as the AEIZ. This needs to be done swiftly and immediately to prevent them from building up any further especially with more assets moving in by the day.
Area of Operation (AO):
North-Eastern Pensinsula of Altis, namely the Salt Flats
Forces in Play:
Opfor:
-
AAF Infantry, Mechanized, and Armoured units.
-
AAF Artillery/Mortars
-
Possible AAF Air Force assets
-
Garrisoned Infantry at the base
-
Patrols in the surrounding area
Blufor:
-
17th Ranger Battalion
-
Friendly NATO forces
Civilian Considerations:
Rapid evacuations have taken place within the region, some civilians may still remain in nearby residential zones but we should be able to avoid these areas. American workers are still within the AEIZ as such, take care to not injure them.
Engagement Criteria:
Enemies will have vehicles along the route towards the base performing patrols as well as to scout for enemy forces. The base is likely to be heavily garrisoned and reinforced with CSWs and fortified positions. Friendly assets should be able to deal with them from a distance before Alpha moves in. The defensive line is likely to be composed of enemy armour with potentially 10+ tanks.
Enemies will have mortars pre-trained outside the base, enemy air assets will be on standby, and the enemy armour composition will mostly consist of tanks. KORNET ATGM systems will be employed on elevated positions to get a bet line of sight down at friendly vehicles and Russian HMGs will be pointed at friendlies. Due to this being the salt flats, there is very little cover and drivers will need to react quickly. Enemy armour at the defensive line could easily number 20+
Free fire on all combatants within the AO. Friendly civilians are in the buildings so do not destroy them.
Mission:
Execution:
17th forces will be deploying from the Pyrgos military base and pushing through to the AEIZ, where they will proceed to clear the industrial area, and secure the civilians being held by AAF forces. Additionally, stay vigilant for the potential of an AAF counter offensive during the raid on the AEIZ.
Objectives:
- Defeat the AAF armor groups impeding the advance.
- Regain control of the American Economic Interest Zone.
- Rescue hostages held within the American Economic Interest Zone.
- Destroy any counter offensive sent by the AAF
CONOP:

- Echo assets will be going off road and ahead of the main force to deal with enemy armour before it becomes an issue
-
Phase IV: Assault the AEIZ
- Alpha members will drive up as close as possible to the AEIZ and assault from there. Clear out every building, secure them, and rescue the American workers.
