RRC Opord
Situation
{Placeholder}The main force of the 17th Ranger Battalion will be making landfall at 0430, and then immediately staging for an attack on suspected enemy artillery positions IOT establish a secure base of operations on the archipelago.
The enemy has cut off main roads into the area, and Anti-aircraft threat envelope is expected to be high. Reconnaissance action will be required on the ground to assist in pinpointing areas of likely enemy ingress and egress from the area, as well as notating any positions where the enemy may be deploying their artillery batteries.

Mission:
RRC is being tasked with effecting an amphibious insertion into the AO from the USS Liberty, with the intent of conducting covert reconnaissance within the area of operations. Contact with enemy forces is to be minimized IOT maintain the element of surprise for the main attack. As such, support options will be minimal.
Enemy forces are suspected to be illegally detaining humanitarian aid workers in the area, if possible secondary objectives are to PID any relevant intel regarding their location and disposition.
Execution:
RRC will deploy from the USS Liberty and make landfall at LZ Popeye. From LZ Popeye, RRC will deploy in and around OP X-RAY to scout the immediate area. Following this, Tiger 1 will move to OP Zulu and conduct recon on the Western AO: OBJs Pepper, Salt, and PoI Obama. From OP X-RAY, Tiger 2 will scout POI Fitter, then move to OP Whiskey. At OP Whiskey, Tiger 2 will recon Points of Interests on the Eastern edge of the AO and mountain ranges to the North in search of SPAA and massed infantry/vehicle presence.
Whichever team completes recon first will relocate to OP Yankee and conduct longer range recon on PoIs further Northwest. If time permits, each team will investigate POI Stormtrooper and POI Passchendaele in search of long-range artillery. Teams will not move past the designated Limit of Advance.
