First step is to officially make the call for the vote (hereby referred to as “the caller”), publicly with the person they are attempting to have removed (hereby referred to as “the recipient”) present. The caller states their intent. “I formally call for a vote of no confidence against {{ insert name }} for the reason of {{ insert valid reason. }}” This is best presented during a Community meeting/AAR/Command meeting to ensure the most people present for it. Maximum exposure is your requirement. All parties involved must be pinged or notified including any relevant “member” roles to make the community aware that the Vote of No Confidence process has been initiated.
From the point of the call to the conclusion of the vote the member being voted on is suspended from their regular responsibilities, whether this is the ranger lead, or the Brigade Commander. They are simply not in charge anymore.
Next a call by the highest ranking member present, excluding the recipient, for anyone to second AND third the motion. The three members involved in this MUST identify themselves because while voting for leadership may be anonymous, calling a vote of no confidence is not. If the motion is thirded by active members of the Unit, the process may proceed.
The vote must be held as immediately as possible following the call. If the call happens during a community meeting or an AAR this vote may be able to take place right then and there IF the recipient is willing to respond to the call at that moment as these are events that are well populated in the first place. The recipient reserves the right to their defense. The recipient also reserves the right to respond in a timely manner at a Community Meeting to be immediately scheduled by the highest ranking member present if the recipient chooses to prepare a response rather than immediately respond. A command meeting does not garner the attendance necessary for an immediate vote. Regardless of the amount of people present, announcements in all official channels are to be made so that people with access to the internet but not necessarily present have 10-15 minutes to get online to be able to vote.
The vote physically must take place in Guilded. If persons can’t be at an operation they will still potentially be able to vote via mobile device. The vote itself must be labeled as clearly as possible, do not label the options “Yes” and “no”. Use terms such as “vote to remove” and “vote to keep” instead. The description should be written as clearly as possible as well, stating the reason for the vote, and how long it will be open for.
