Anderp for ACO

Anderp for ACO, Teddy for AXO

Alpha’s biggest problem remains attendance and numbers.
This is a long-lasting issue caused by a complete lack of recruitment for a significant period of time, however in recent days, recruiting once again started bringing in more people.

As ACO, I think our biggest focus needs to be retaining these people, as well as the players we already have. To this end, I want to continue the practices Sherman and I have done in the current previous cycle to help people get and stay more engaged.

Things that worked that I want to continue.

1, Weekly Sign-up thread. Originally an idea started by Ken, we have used this thread in alpha as a way to both remind people about the coming op, as well as plan slots and create a space for alpha to keep people informed about our plan. As a result of feedback we adopted a system where people who have both signed up on the website and requested a slot get first dibs for their favorite slots. I think this practice has been helpful and I want to continue it going forward into the new command cycle.

2, The Figma board is yet another thing that has seen a few refinements and iterations, but I think in its current form, it is quite good at its job of quickly and coherently conveying the plan in an easy to read format. I want to continue this idea, but also refine it further. Currently, ACO and EXO already meet once a week to quickly do any intercompany planning, I want to continue this, but also incorporate all of Alpha’s planning for the week in the 30 minutes or so after this, while creating a calendar event for it. This will let anyone who is interested know it will happen and get involved if they so choose, hopefully letting others give input on tactical plans and feel more invested in the plan.

Things that are new..ish

3, The Big Guns. Anyone who has spent any time around me in arma knows I love my MAWWS, and I love my Blackfoot. The biggest issue with us taking out the big toys so to speak has been numbers. This isn't a problem that will be instantly solved, but once we have 2 full squads and some extras, I want to once again start taking more weapons teams and Blackfoot elements. Things like 60mms, DMRs, MAT TEAMS, HAT teams, MMG teams etc etc all have their place in bolstering a light infantry section on the battlefield, and once numbers permit, I would love to continue their usage.

4, Running the NCO course more. With new members joining, one new CPL and another one in the works, Alpha can hopefully finally address the weekly problem of having to ask specialists to step up and teamlead. We love those of you who did it, and I'm happy to continue it for those who don't mind or wanna try out teamleading, but recently Alpha has needed to ask people who would probably otherwise play another role to take one for the team. With the new people and the new CPLs especially, I want to work with the training SGT as ACO to not only run more Leadership courses, but also maybe come up with more ideas for more lanes to spice the mission up so it isnt the same 3 lanes whenever it is run.
