Weather: Clear

With most of Tyrones PMC groups assets and financial backing eliminated. HE is on his last leg in a defensive position in his last known strong hold in the region. The only issue is we believe he has a card up his sleeve.. there has been reports of a possible WMD at the same Location. THEY KNOW WE ARE COMING. EXPECT SOME DEFENSIVE MEASURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opfor:

Most Likely Course of Action: Garrisoned troops are unaware of our presence and have not prepared to receive their guests so early in the morning.

Most Dangerous Course of Action: Opfor Has a mole feeding them direct intel on the plan of attack and preparations have been made to repel us.

Blufor:

  • 17th Ranger Battalion

Engagement Criteria:

Rules of Engagement: Engage at discretion of line leaders. Full destruction of military assets and structures is approved.
Civil Considerations: Destruction of civilian infrastructure will not be tolerated, excluding structures occupied by enemy forces.

Mission:

Execution:

The 17th Will convoy into the AO and conduct a Raid on OBJ Barnacle to complete the task of eliminating the HVT known as "Tyrone" before he is able to detonate an nuclear device.

Tyrone

Objectives:

Assault Element
  • Alpha members sole task is to enter objective compounds and eliminate Tyrone.
    • Speed is the key, Light equipment should be favoured over hard hitting munitions. Supply trucks will keep you well stocked.
Breach Element
  • Responsibilities will be given to key members of the Assault element.
    • Create entry points into target compounds for Assault Elements.
Security Element
  • Echo will crew 1x Gladius, and 2x Rapier in support and security of the Assault Element.
Support Element
  • Echo will provide Logistical support for both the Assault Element Reinserts, as well as maintenance and resupply for both Assault and Security Element assets.
    • Stormsurge will provide direct front-line support by way of CASEVAC and resupply with the soft top.
Alpha:
  • Raid Objective Barnacle and eliminate the HVT.
Echo:
  • Provide security and support elements.
Special Considerations
  • The use of pathfinder is not recommended
  • There has been an influx in Gun Trucks.
  • Unmanned Weapon systems are a potential threat.
  • TYRONES Elite unit PENTISTAR ELITE has made its presence be known
  • This mission is on a 120 min timer. The timer starts as soon as any 17th element leaves the base INCLUDING PATHFINDERS.
    IF TYRONE ISN'T DEAD BY THE END OF THE TIMER GG NUKE IS DETONATED.
  • IF U GUYS TRY TO BE GAMERS AND BLOW THE NUKE DEVICE UP BEFORE THE TIMER IT DETONTATES. ITS ARMED AND READY TO GO
  • IF FOR SOME REASON WE STEP OFF MUCH LATER THAN EXPECTED

CONOP:

This operation will be conducted in 8 phases. At 7:05pm, Briefing will take place. At 7:20pm All units will be kitted up and loaded in their respective transportation.

  • Phase 0: Briefing

    • 6:45pm CST server will be open to enter. Briefing starts at 7:05pm. Preparation to step off follows. This may include preparing vehicles with supplies, organizing elements and fireteams into appropriate roles, loading into transport for early step off.

Approximate Composition

  • Phase I: Convoy

    • At 7:15pm all elements will step off along destined route to Raid Objective Barnacle.
      • Expect resistance, ambushes, roadblocks, and IED/mines. Especially at choke points in the terrain between jungles.
      • Whenever possible, push through contact. rear element will be designated to stop and clean up remaining enemy forces to keep logistic lines open.
      • Route has been selected as fastest feasible, we don't have time to muck about.

OBJ Barnacle

  • Phase II: Objective Barnacle

    • Upon reaching the dismount point, Assault element will stash their truck and push towards the walls of the compound through the jungle. Expect minefields. Security Element will wait at Hold-point.
      • The Compound will be broken into Eight total sectors

Main Compound

  • Phase III: Sector Pear

    • Once Both Assault and Security Elements are in place, a breach into Sectors Pear and Cherry will take place.
      • The bulk of the Assault Element will breach into Sector Pear to clear it completely, as once this is done, both Rapiers will move through Pear, into Cherry to support a parallel push.
      • A small group from the Assault Element will enter the Eastern most breach and strong-point the flank of Sector Pear while it is being cleared.
      • The Security Element will move forward and engage targets from the hill north of the Objective.
        • Do not hunt the perfect angle, peak the hill and provide fire support. Stay near the road so you are ready and able to move in to assist with the clear.
  • Phase IV: Sectors Apple, Grapes, and Cherry

    • Assault and Security Elements will sweep south through the compound parallel to each other clearing these three Sectors
      • Gladius will stay on the western road that cuts north to south along the length of the compound and deny enemy access to reinforce, thereby protecting the western flank of the Assault Element.
      • 2x Rapiers will assist the smaller Assault Element as they sweep Sector Cherry.
  • Phase V: Sector Orange and Mango

    • Both parts of the Assault element will regroup to clear these sectors, shifting manpower and assets if necessary
  • Phase VI: Sector Peach

    • If the search for Tyrone is incomplete the Battalion will wheel east and clear the fuel reserves

Sector Plum

  • Phase VII: Sector Plum

    • If tyrone is still unfound, the battalion will move through the jungles and sweep the clearing to the south
  • Phase VIII: RP/AAR

    • Once Tyrone is confirmed dead, the battalion will finish clearing out any resistance in the compound, and return to FOB Shortfuse for debrief.
    • All units prepare for debrief.

  • Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
  • Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
