The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Operator Tyrone has staged a Coup Overthrowing the Columbian Government and has installed himself as their Supreme Leader. Tyrone's Connections over the years have all come to light and we see this task will not be easy., HE has won the Hearts of the local population. 17th Ranger Battalion has been called to action. to Capture/Eliminate Tyrone. This Operation we are conducting is too establish a presence in the region and slow Tyrone's Communication efforts.

Most Likely Course of Action: Although aware of our push south along the river, well prepared defenses will leave the garrison in a false sense of security. 17th Ranger Battalion means to capitalize on this.

Most Dangerous Course of Action: Forward Observation Points or tripwire flares will alert the garrison before we are able to catch them unawares.

Rules of Engagement: Engage at discretion of line leaders. Full destruction of military assets and structures is approved.
Civil Considerations: Destruction of civilian infrastructure will not be tolerated, excluding structures occupied by enemy forces

  • Sabotage any enemy assets.
  • Eliminate enemy resistance.
  • Be prepared to defend OBJ if a counter attack happens

Due to the nature of the mission, members of both Echo and Alpha will be mixed to fill out the four key elements of the raiding party.

Assault Element
Alpha members, sole task is to enter objective compounds and eliminate all enemy hostiles.
Breach Element
Potentially members of both Alpha and Echo. Their tasks are:
  • Create entry points into target compounds for assault elements.
  • Ensure destruction of key enemy structures (Radio towers).
  • Destruction of secondary targets such as command buildings, barracks, motorpools, hangars, etc.
Security Element
  • Echo will utilize "Dagger" assets to provide over-watch on entry points and provide fire support against fortified enemy positions.
  • Two members of Alpha will provide Long rifle Support for precision counter fire against enemy emplacements posing imminent threat to the Assault or Breach Elements
Support Element
Columbians will provide QRF support, while will provide CASEVAC via ground.
Alpha:
  • Raid and destroy all three objectives.
  • Split forces between Assault elements and Breach elements.
Echo:
  • Provide security and support elements.
  • Provide CAS via "Artemis"
  • Insert and provide logistical support to the raiding party via "Dagger" Assets.
  • Provide SBF to Alpha.

Security Element

Special Considerations:
  • ALL infantry weapons are to be suppressed to provide longest possible window of surprise.

Objectives:

This operation will be conducted in 6 phases. At 7:05pm, Briefing will take place. At 7:20pm All units will be kitted up and loaded in their respective transportation.

CONOP:

  • Phase 0: Briefing

    • 6:45pm CST server will be open to enter. Briefing starts at 7:05pm. Preparation to step off follows. This may include preparing vehicles with supplies, organizing elements and fire-teams into appropriate roles, loading into transport for early step off. at 7:20pm the Battalion will step off towards the first compound (white) in a short convoy.
      • Main Elements will proceed from dismount point on foot, while Security Element moves to SBF position on overlooking hills

  • Phase I: White

    • Once a civilian, now occupied by enemy forces, Phase white will give the cover and concealment directly adjacent to the main compound.

    • Large central structure has elevated and fortified position to house long rifle Over-watch team

  • Phase II: Blue

    • Assault Element will sweep the entry point and out buildings to allow Support Elements safe access into the compound.

  • Phase III: Green

    • Housing three Primary Objectives, a Radar installation, Fuel Reserves, and an ATC. Assault will clear Green to allow the Breach team to begin destruction of target infrastructure.
  • Phase IV: Red

    • A central Command compound with several towers and its own defensive walls, Red must be secured to cripple communications via the destruction of two Radio Towers.
  • Phase V & VI: Yellow and Black

    • Support buildings and Docks, Yellow and Black will be swept at the discretion of Assault to ensure total annihilation of enemy forces.

  • Phase VII: RP/AAR

    • All units prepare for debrief.

  • Blue: Marking suitable locations for Landing Zones.
  • Red: This is used for marking enemy positions for all units to reference.
  • Yellow: This is used to inform friendly forces that Immediate medical support is needed.
  • Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
  • Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
