Opord

Situation:

Warlord and Oni have been recovered and AA has been cleared from the central region of Stubbhult. Now the battalion must push North through Stubbhult and clear out enemies along the way while rescuing civilians from the town of Boalt.

Most likely Cause of Action:

Eastern convoy route is cleared up to OBJ Vase and the battalion holds against enemy counter-attack.

Most Deadly Course of Action:

Convoy is halted and overwhelmed. The battalion is pushed back South and out of Stubbhult.

BLUFOR:
  • 17th Ranger Battalion
  • Division Schnelle Kräfte
  • 9th Air Commando Group

Engagement Criteria:

Open fire on any armed individuals. Take care clearing buildings in Boalt as there are captured Danish civilians.


Mission:

Execution:

The Battalion will convoy up the Eastern road (OBJ Almond) and clear any enemy defenses along the entire route. A hard dismount will take place to assault OBJ Caramel on foot to rescue Danish civilians. Soft dismounts will happen along the route for EOD to defuse any enemy mines. Once other objectives are complete, OBJ Vase will be cleared end defended from enemy counter-attacks.

Objectives:
  1. OBJ Almond
    • Convoy along the Eastern road and clear enemy defenses and mines along the way.
  2. OBJ Caramel
    • Liberate the town of Boalt on foot and rescue Danish civilians being held there.
      • Civilians should be taken to a save collection point and transported to FOB Kira.
  3. OBJ Data
    • Clear enemies and enemy assets from Saraböke Base.
  4. OBJ Vase
    • Clear the cities of Yaberg & Gullanabba then prepare for enemy counter-attack.
  5. OBJ Celtic
    • Echo air priority: Enemy Paladin artillery to be destroyed by Echo air before spotters around the map can give them fire missions.
      • Alpha should not plan for this OBJ.
CONOP:
  • Phase 0:
    • Any necessary vehicle prep.
  • Phase I: Brief
    • Assign vehicles to elements.
  • Phase II: Prep
    • Final loadout checks and load into vehicles.
  • Phase III: OBJ Almond & OBJ Celtic
    • Convoy along the Eastern road and clear enemy defenses and mines along the way.
      • Hard dismount to complete OBJ Caramel on foot.
      • Soft dismount to allow clearing of mines by EOD.
    • Echo air to destroy enemy Paladin artillery at OBJ Celtic.
  • Phase IV: OBJ Caramel
    • Clear Boalt of enemy forces and rescue Danish civilians.
      • Civilians should be gathered at a collection point to be taken to FOB Kira.
  • Phase V: OBJ Data
    • Clear enemy forces and assets from Saraböke Base.
  • Phase VI: OBJ Vase
    • Clear enemy forces from Yaberg & Gullanabba then prepare for enemy counter attack.
  • Phase VII: RP/AAR
    • All units prepare for debrief.

Timeline (in CST)

6:45pm: Organize units, and kit up
7:00pm: Operation Brief
7:15pm: Operation Start
10:30pm: All OBJ cleared, prepare for AAR.

Command and Signal

Long Range Frequencies:
  • Refer to the Commo Card.
Nonverbal Coordination:
  • Green: This is used to mark friendly positions on the field.
  • Blue: Marking suitable locations for Landing Zones.
  • Red: This is used for marking enemy positions for all units to reference.
  • Yellow: This is used to inform friendly forces that Immediate medical support is needed.
  • Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
  • Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close.
    • Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
