Protocol Resolution

  1. The vote is considered successful and the recipient is removed from their post should the vote to remove achieve 45% of votes placed. It is acknowledged that 45% is not the majority. If only 51% of the group is happy with you, then you shouldn’t be where you’re at. Additionally this vote is to remove current leadership, not who replaces them.
  2. If the vote is successful the newly removed leader is demoted to Specialist and placed in their previous unit. The next highest rank member of the 17th BCT then assumes the responsibilities and immediately calls for a community meeting to hold an interim vote on who will fulfill the role until the next community round table. This follow on vote should be handled identically to the regular round table vote. Posts made, people given a chance to state their intent, pings, timeframes, etc. This vote should take place within 2 weeks.
  3. If the vote of no confidence fails, and the current leader remains in their position, no punitive measures may be taken against the caller. Instead, you use the fact that these members were this upset to call a no confidence vote and have a conversation with the community. Perhaps you aren’t as in touch with them as you believe you are. No VONC may be brought again for a cooling off period of 2 weeks if a VONC occurs at the end of a campaign/inter-campaign period and fails.
