Qualifications
- Training Qualifications may only be awarded by Trainers who currently hold the qualification and have shown that they can accurately use the qualification themselves.
- Qualifications may be run at the end of the scheduled training or a dedicated event may be scheduled to complete qualification requirements.
- Qualifications must be run in accordance with the Training Documentation.
- Qualifications must have clear defined failure criteria including soft and hard fails. Standard 3 soft fails is the failure of the qualification, 1 hard fail is an immediate failure of the qualification. Qualifications are allowed a standard 2 attempts before an individual must wait a minimum of 48 hours before they can attempt to qualify again. (Discussions may be had between Qualifications to discuss what was done incorrectly however no assistance may be provided during a qualification) Additionally attempt count can be adjusted outside of the standard 2 with clear justification listed in training document Qualification Section as to why more attempts are allowed over the standard 2 and training sergeant approval.
- Trainers may not assist a member through their qualification. Members must qualify on their own using the knowledge they have obtained within their training.
- Qualifications may be challenged 1 Attempt (without taking training); however, failure to pass will result in the trainee being required to attend the training, retake the qualification, and lose the ability to challenge any qualifications for a minimum of 2 months. (Attempt count for challenge may not be flexible)
- Qualifications may be taken at any time and in any order; however, trainee must fulfill the prerequisites of the training before being able to act upon the qualification received.
- Qualifications are awarded to individuals who show proficient understanding of the material needed to pass the necessary requirements.
