Engagement Criteria:

Fire at will, there will be N O "Return fire only when fired upon" this Operation.

Enemies at the Airfield will most likely get as many birds as the can airborne after Rangers make the initial drop, but by the time Rangers hit the Ground they will only start taking off and the Blackhawks and C-130s should make it back with no threats.

Objectives:

1. Conduct a jump and capture vital towns that friendly forces can hold.
2. Capture the Malden Airfield.
   

CONOP:

• Phase 0:

  • Vehicles will be staged in their respective birds if they are being air dropped. Everyone will prep their gear for a jump.

• Phase I: Brief

  • All units will then stand by for briefing.

• Phase II: Prep

  • Squads will assemble and Jumpmasters will assign jump numbers for Rangers as they embark into the Blackhawks preparing for a drop. Pilots and Ground units will set up the proper nets.

• Phase III:

  • The jump will be conducted to try and land at DZ Rupture. Once boots on ground units will Rally at wherever the vehicles land or wherever the platoon leader deems fit.

• Phase IV:

  • Units will move to the first city of La Trinite, movements will be decided by the COs, the second city to attack will be Larche, and Saint Louis. Once the three towns are captured the next movement will be towards the airfield. Heavier Resistance will be met at the airfield.

• Phase V:

  • Rangers will move into the airfield with the intent to capture it and make it an operating base for the next operations on Malden.

• Phase VI: RP/AAR

  • All units prepare for debrief.

Nonverbal Coordination:

• Green: This is used to mark friendly positions on the field.
• Blue: Marking suitable locations for Landing Zones.
• Red: This is used for marking enemy positions for all units to reference.
• Yellow: This is used to inform friendly forces that Immediate medical support is needed.
• Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
• Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
