(1) Higher HQ Mission and Intent:
US Strategic goals are to bend policymakers to US viewpoints, resulting in regime change on the island.
(2) Mission of Adjacent Units:
31st MEU: conduct amphibious diversions elsewhere on the island In Order To (IOT) confuse enemy Command and Control. Conduct follow on actions on the beachhead and further secure friendly areas.

Paladin security incorporated will be attached to Riptide actual as a QRF
Civilian Considerations:
Stated goals require the target population to look favorably to US Forces, and don’t do anything to significantly impact US world image.

Engagement Criteria:
MLCOA (Most Likely Course of Action) Enemy forces will defend key terrain, such as the port town and the airfield attempting to bring heavier weapons to bear on a potentially disorganized unit.
MDCOA (Most Deadly Course of Action) The enemy conducts a fighting retreat, gains and maintains air superiority, mines easy avenues of approach against 17th armored assets, and conduct ambushes on friendly forces at assembly areas.
Mission:
17th forces execute an amphibious assault onto the island, securing the surrounding town and the nearby airfield for follow on operations.
Execution:
Beachhead is section A, Airbase is section B. prioritize key terrain that we want to attack and then occupy. The main effort for the initial assault will go to Echo Company, bringing LAVs to bear on that beach will save Rangers' lives, so that is mission critical. As we move to section B the main effort will shift to Alpha company as Echo utilizes terrain to support Alpha in their assault on the airstrip.

(1) Maneuver:
Companies will maneuver using support from the other. (Fire and movement, bounding overwatch)
(2) Reconnaissance and Surveillance:
RRC is to conduct reconnaissance of the AO, IOT support 17th forces mission.
c. Tasks to Combat Support.
(1) Fire Support:
81mm mortar teams hit targets as required, priority goes to the main effort. We have a Blue force tracker we cannot seem to get rid of, USE IT.
(2) Air Defense:
Echo company will field a Combat Air Patrol to facilitate. Alpha company brings at least one man portable AA Launcher.
(3) Signal:

Positive Identification of all targets is required. Military structures and personnel are valid targets. Avoid destroying civilian infrastructure.
SERVICE AND SUPPORT
Logistics.
(1) Transportation:
Transportation out will be done by a Rangers own company, Alpha Company will dive boats to the Landing point, and Echo will utilize its assets to do the same.
(2) Supply:
Resupplies will be while in motion as much as possible, Alpha company will take from Echo assets anything required to do the job. Additional resupply follows battalion SOP.
b. Personnel Services Support.
(1) Method of marking and handling EPWs:
Segregate EPWs from each other, search them, and stage them nearby a CCP marked with a red X on the ground near them, or the nearest wall.
c. Army Health System Support.
(1) Medical Command and Control:
Alpha Company Platoon doctor is in charge of facilitating timely medical care to the wounded.

Nonverbal Coordination:

- Blue: Marking suitable locations for Landing Zones.
- Red: This is used for marking enemy positions for all units to reference.

- Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
