Attachments and Detachments:

Civilian Considerations:

Greenfor:

  • n/a

Engagement Criteria:

MLCOA (Most Likely Course of Action) Enemies will likely attempt to drive a wedge between NATO forces and use known MSR's to flow more armor and personnel through the AO.

MDCOA (Most Deadly Course of Action) Enemies Strongpoint OBJ boneyard and mount a defense in depth with pre-sighted artillery, and a robust anti-armor system. Utilizing air superiority they will seek to channel 17th forces into narrow avenues of approach, where CSW's, and small arms can be brought to bear on a disorganised BN.

Mission:

The 17th Ranger Battalion has been assigned two missions. Echo Company is responsible for the clearing of Armored Strongpoints in OBJ's Terminus and Falacer, afterwards, Echo will support Alpha in their mission.

Alpha Company will isolate the Northwest Airfield by clearing the towns surrounding it, and then moving to seize the airfield.

Execution:

Rangers will conduct a Mechanised Convoy to OBJ Terminus, and support Echo in their mission to destroy the enemy Armored Strongpoint, From there A co and E co forces will divide and conquer their objectives.

Commander's Intent:

17th Forces destroy both armored strongpoints and seize the enemy airfield allowing follow-on forces to begin the process of regime change and rebuilding of infrastructure.

E co will assault from the North, destroy enemy resistance, and will link back up with A co wherever they happen to be.

(4) Objective 3: Towns Surrounding OBJ Boneyard (NW airfield)

A co will assault and clear the towns surrounding the airfield, taking care to only engage one at a time.
