Engagement Criteria:

MLCOA (Most Likely Course of Action):

The enemy will attempt to Stall Alpha Company at the Pobeda Dam while counterattacking Echo Company in The town of Dubrovika.

MDCOA (Most Deadly Course of Action) :

Enemy Forces Conduct a complex ambush on air assaulting units at the Pobeda Dam, resulting in a Mass Casualty event, forcing Echo company to come to their aid. Ultimately resulting in Pobeda dam’s destruction and the failure to seize the town of Dubrovika.

(1) Higher HQ Mission and Intent:

US Strategic goals are to bend policymakers to US viewpoints, resulting in regime change on the island.

(2) Mission of Adjacent Units:

31st MEU: Conduct De-mining operations along the coastline.

16th AABCT: Provide forces to hold key terrain after 17th Forces seize it.

11th Airmobile Brigade: Provide recon for follow on NATO missions

E. Civilian Considerations: Stated goals require the target population to look favorably to US Forces, and don’t do anything to significantly impact US world image.

Mission:

Assault Pobeda Dam, and the town of Dubrovika simultaneously In Order To (IOT) create chaos inside enemy Command And Control systems, Then hold the town of Dubrovika until follow on forces can relieve the BN.

Execution:

A. Commander's Intent.

Pobeda Dam does not get demolished by Enemy actions, and the town of Dubrovika is seized by BLUFOR.

B. Concept of operations:

(1) Maneuver:

Companies will maneuver Inside the AO Independently until Alpha Company has completed its mission at the Dam. Companies will then consolidate in the town of Dubrovika.

(2) Reconnaissance and Surveillance:

RRC is to conduct reconnaissance of the AO, IOT support 17th forces mission.

C. Tasks to Combat Support:

Priority goes to the main effort.

(3) Air Defense:

Alpha company brings at least one man portable AA Launcher.

Positive Identification of all targets is required. Military structures and personnel are valid targets. Avoid destroying civilian infrastructure. Do not kill surrendering OPFOR.

SERVICE AND SUPPORT

A. Logistics:

(1) Transportation:

Alpha Company will rely on Echo company Helicopters for transportation around the AO. Echo company will transport themselves in their vehicles.

(2) Supply:

Echo Company is responsible for resupplies. Expect to resupply Alpha Co inside the town of Dubrovika.

B. Personnel Services Support:

(1) Method of marking and handling EPWs. Segregate EPW’s from each other, search them and stage them nearby a CCP marked with a red X on the ground near them, or the nearest wall.

C. Army Health System Support:

(1) Medical Command and Control. Alpha Company Platoon doctor is in charge of facilitating timely medical care to the wounded.

  • Purple: This color represents a friendly position with enemy units danger close, Anyone outside of 100 meters away from the smoke should be assumed hostile.
  • Orange: This tells anyone in the air that a friendly unit is in desperate need of resupply.
