Situation:

After heavy fighting in the early morning on March 7th, the 17th Rangers and 9th ACG have successfully driven Res Publica forces back and captured Larseng Airbase. Engineers have already established infrastructure for us to conduct operations from Larseng Airbase. The 12th Airborne Cavalry have mobilized two companies, Charlie and Delta, to push east towards Helbotn, covering our east and southern flanks.

From what the locals have been able to inform us, Ulvik Port is a key infrastructure for Res Publica, being used to help refine their chemical agents. Much of the material is stored at several storage silos at Ulvik. Latest reconnaissance indicates heavy activity at Ulvik throughout the day, with trucks siphoning as much material as they can from the silos. Air raids have been running interference to hinder their logistics. However, intercepted radio transmissions indicate Res Publica's intent to rig the remaining silos and detonate them to deny us the opportunity to recover the chemicals. It is of the utmost importance that we prevent the detonation of the storage silos at any cost, to prevent a chemical fallout in the region.

In addition to the latest developments, two enemy destroyers, RPN Fractal and RPN Shard, have been detected launching from Nervei Port and have moved into an attack posture against our fleet. They are being supported by enemy fixed and rotary wing. This puts us in a precarious position due to our fleet attempting to assist ground forces to attack Stordal Airport. Capture of Stordal Airport, destruction of the enemy fleet, and seizing Nervei Port will be the next steps in the operation.

Civilian Considerations:

Above all else, damage to the infrastructure of Ulvik Port is not permitted due to the presence of refinery silos containing chemical agents. LHD Cold Harbor will be deploying troops onto Ulvik once it is secured by Rangers.

Mission:

The first phase of this operation will include a heavy air assault onto Ulvik Port, with the goal of neutralizing any defenders and defusing any bombs planted on the three storage silo sites. Once the situation at Ulvik has been controlled, we need to make sure that Helbotn Village is secured, giving us full control of the fjord. We expect heavy resistance at Helbotn, and the 12th AC will likely call for our assistance.

The second phase of this operation will involve engaging the enemy fleet protecting Stordal Airport in the north. We were able to send EF-18G Growlers to Larseng Airbase ahead of time, making them our best weapon to disabling the enemy destroyers. Once the fleet has been neutralized, we can begin attacks onto Stordal Airport.

Once Stordal Airport has been secured, we must be swift to deny the enemy the opportunity to fully reinforce Nervei Port. It will be the last major area for them to be able to keep us out from the mainland and launch offensive operations against them. Capturing Nervei Port and holding the town will be vital in securing our foothold in the region.

Mission Maker Note #1

For this sequence to even work out, please do not engage the fleet or go anywhere north towards Stordal until both the objectives at Ulvik and Helbotn have been completed.

Execution:

An opportunity for RRC will be present for them to neutralize air defenses in the mountain regions towards Frostskader Pass, opening the skies more for our Growlers. Primary launching point for the battalion will be at Larseng Airbase, with reserve air assets kept at FOB Danelaw.
