Situation:

Our current situation is as follows. Recent operations have brought the enemy's efforts to stage offensives into Fapovo to a grinding halt, and with the assault on two major bases of operation, and our recent successes in our SEAD campaign, the remainder of enemy forces in the immediate AOR are currently scattered and on the defensive.

That said, they are well-prepared to engage in delaying tactics; consolidating in the surrounding mountainous areas, outlying outposts, and villages, and have been reported to be using prepared positions and small-unit tactics to harass reinforcements, conduct sabotage of local infrastructure, and challenge our supply lines as we continue to push inland. While our immediate position is relatively secure, our overall tactical situation remains precarious as long as we leave any significant number of enemy forces in the surrounding areas to disrupt our maneuvers and supply.

Civilian Considerations:

no expected civilian presence in the immediate AO.

Mission:

Conduct cleanup operations in the immediate AO, with the intent of further degrading enemy presence in the AO, and preserving strategic infrastructure. Identify and neutralize enemy positions, emplacements, and/or supplies. Full reinforcement capacity of the enemy is unknown at this time but intelligence suggests BNA forces will be attempting to consolidate their remaining combat power in order to re-attack our positions. As such our priority is to disrupt their efforts and retain the initiative.

Execution:

  • Battallion begins maneuvers
  • Alpha and Echo Companies will move to provide QRF for friendly forces at OBJ HEINEKEN
  • Assess and execute all other remaining objectives with the intent to degrade enemy presence and infrastructure.
  • Continue to consolidate positions around FOB ROSS, further establish defensive positions.

Objectives:

  1. OBJ HEINEKEN: priority objective Supply company convoy, ambushed at around 1600hrs, currently holding defensive positions.
  2. OBJ LOKO: Oilfield, local intel shows enemy activity nearby likely with intent to destroy or sabotage.
  3. OBJ LIPTON: downed enemy transport plane, ISR has observed enemy CSAR activity
  4. OBJ GUINNESS: suspected supply depot, BNA forces observed attempting to recover materials.
  5. OBJ ARIZONA: Suspected enemy OP/Air-Radar outpost. Recon and neutralize.
  6. OBJ BANQUET: ISR has observed significant volume of enemy movement on this position, suspected rally point-hasty HQ for BNA forces.
