Situation:

US Marines have successfully created a gap in Turkish lines near the city of Al Safyrah. With CSAT forces moving in to reinforce the area, the 17th Rangers are tasked with taking the city and its airfield from the enemy, thereby gaining a strong foothold in the AO. While normally a larger force would be organized to seize the city from the enemy, time is a factor and in short supply so with the newly arrived 17th being the only un-engaged unit in the area, they will have to take the city by themselves.

Seizure of the airfield and its outer defenses is considered a top priority to ease the burden currently placed on US naval vessels and Aircraft in the area. Additionally, allowing CSAT forces to gain and maintain a foothold in the city will spell certain doom for the US' current precarious position in the area.

Methods of insertion, seizure, and defense of OBJ areas is left to the discretion of the Battalion CO.

Due to enemy AA systems, Fixed Wing Aircraft are grounded until further notice, Rotary wing aircraft may operate at low altitudes at Battalion CO discretion. Additionally, several No Fly Zones have been established to prevent friendly aircraft from entering known enemy AA ranges.
