Situation:

To help facilitate a thrust by the 11th MEU to the west aimed at capturing areas along the coast, the 17th Rangers have been tasked with fortifying and holding the city of Jableh. While its port is not currently operational due to mines, it is a vital supply junction for the trucks carrying material for the 11th MEU. Recon has shown large numbers of CSAT forces massing for a push from the north. The 17th is to hold open the supply routes at all costs. This is to facilitate a concerted effort to take as much of the coast as possible before pushing further inland.

Civilian Considerations:

Civilians should not be present in the area due to combat actions having been already carried out in the area, however, as always, civilian lives and structures are to be preserved as best as possible.

Mission:

Fortify and hold the city of Jableh until the enemy assault abates and maintain critical supply lines through the city

Execution:

Material for the mission have already been delivered to the logistical point south of the city, troops will deploy in the area via helicopter. Further deployment of assets and personnel will be left to the discretion of the Battalion CO

Due to continuing enemy AA systems, Fixed wing and other high altitude aircraft are grounded until further notice. Rotary wing aircraft may move about with slightly more freedom with enemy territory being reduced, however low altitudes remain the only safe flight path. Additionally, No Fly Zones have been altered due to enemy removal and displacement of AA systems, please make note of revised No Fly areas
