Situation:

US Intel has detected a removal of many CSAT assets, mostly AA assets after the previous attacks. This has resulted in CSAT using shorter range AA systems that are much easier to exploit. In addition, a vulnerability has been found that will allow us to drop troops behind enemy lines. To this end, Intel has identified several positions that the 17th Rangers are tasked with securing to cut off the North Eastern airfield from the rest of the front line. If successful, this will change the course of the war in the region, potentially leading to a large collapse of the CSAT front.

Civilian Considerations:

Civilians may be present in the AO, take special caution to avoid civilian casualties.

Mission:

Deploy via paradrop into LZ Reach. Under the cover of darkness, the 17th will approach the AO from the west and seize, in order, OBJ Unyielding, OBJ Elite, and OBJ High Charity, securing them from enemy forces and deploying surveillance systems at each one. After this, the 17th will await the deployment of the newly arrived 2-7th Cavalry Squadron and then exfil via Battalion CO discretion.

Execution:

The 17th will board and parachute from 2 C-130J aircraft into the AO and proceed on foot to the mission areas with friendly CAS support. This support will be determined by Battalion and Echo CO

  2. OBJ Elite - A CSAT Radar station that governs AA in the area
  3. OBJ High Charity - A supply depot for CSAT Armor and Mechanized troops
