Execution:
We the 17th Rangers have miraculously recovered from our recent events assisted with the support from the 1st Battalion at Airbase Rassa. Though we bounced back it is already time to move out, orders from above request a reinforced area setup and built at Cape Rassa (FOB Texas). Unfortunately due to the heavy losses from last week, we are short handed on future supplies and assets for further actions.
In order to have a fully finished fortification for a future defense we will need everything we can get. Before reaching Cape Rassa, as a Battalion we will assault OP Cowboy, CCP Easy, Camp Nixon, and Camp Winters in that exact order. These were all previously owned camps that had been overturned to the enemy, we must recover whatever we can from each of these points to utilize it for later. Prepare for audible calls as we will be constantly surrounded by enemies in all directions, if better angles are found within the operation, it is possible they will be taken instead. As of now we are on the run and considered behind enemy lines, the success of recovery will provide a chance of hope for winning this war.
Objectives:
- OP Cowboy - Heavy Weapons/CSW Cache
- Roaming patrols and heavy armored movements nearby
- CCP Easy - Medical Center
- Under sustained contact - Position untenable
- Camp Nixon - Support Vehicles/Standard Supply Center
- BLUFOR attempted extraction, unknown outcome
- Camp Winters - Heavy Armor Motorpool
- Under heavy contact - Assets concealed in warehouses - Main roads mined
- FOB Texas - Fortification of Cape Rassa for future defense
- Utilizing supplies gathered from recent objectives, this base will be fortified for the next operation
- Assault each camp recovering as many supplies/assets as possible
- Utilize gun trucks for transport between objectives
- Fortify Cape Rassa for a future defense
- Utilize Strykers to support Alpha Assaults until Armor is recovered
- Utilize recovered assets for further assaults/defenses
- Fortify Cape Rassa for a future defense
- Deploy early for initial recon/route clearence
- Provide forward reconnaissance for battalion maneuvers
- Fortify Cape Rassa for a future defense
CONOP:
-
Phase 0: Connect to Operations Server
- Server will be going live earlier than normal to allow RRC to step off early and for Echo to organize vehicles. Everyone else will load in 15 minutes prior UNLESS told otherwise
-
Phase I: Brief
- Mission Maker/BCO will open up with a general briefing, followed by Alpha, Echo, and RRC with their overall movements
-
Phase II: Prep
- Conduct final preparation and last second planning. Make adjustments to the primary assault plan based on info from RRC.
-
Phase III: Asset/Supply Recovery
- Departing from Sobel, Rangers will move from point to point collecting all supplies and assets possible in this exact order : OP Cowboy, CCP Easy, Camp Nixon, Camp Winters
-
Phase IV: Defending/Fortifying FOB Texas/Cape Rassa
- After recovering anything possible, Rangers will set up and fortify anything possible while defending whatever forces follow us to the base. Next operation will be defending whatever we setup, so account for future usage when applying things to the base
-
Phase V: RP/AAR
-
All units prepare for debrief.
-
- In order to decrease the length of time for jips to have to be transported via ground, a mobile set of tents will be used via backpack that can be dropped down by players as a forward spawn point. These will likely be dropped outside of each objective prior to the assault
- Though preserving infrastructure is no longer in our interest, be careful to not destroy supplies within the assault on objectives
