Mission:

The Mariterran Liberation Front is in disarray and is now being rapidly pushed back across their final holdouts along Terra Ceia, the northwestern region of Mariterra, by the 3rd BCT. The death of one their main central leadership, Colonel Wakuu, has not dissuaded the enemy into surrendering. It seems that the MLF remain resolute, even as their defenses crumble. However, recent developments in our intelligence indicate that the MLF have access to an unknown weapon of some type that has been recently unloaded into the port of Terra Ceia. We have cause for concern for a worst case scenario of a weapon of mass destruction.

To make matters worse, one of our drones that was being utilized to track the enemy asset was also engaged by an unknown enemy air asset that fired a long range, air-to-air missile from the South China Sea. The 7th Fleet is on high alert and are conducting naval maneuvers to screen our northeastern waters beyond Mariterra. PACOM suspects that the PLA is responsible for the incident, and is issuing contingency orders to all armed forces operating in the Pacific.

In the case that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) engages U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific, this is considered a DECLARATION OF WAR between China and the United States. Threat of the PLA is significant and U.S. Pacific forces are at high risk. U.S. allies, including South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, and Australia will deploy military forces and conduct defensive operations by land, air, and sea.

1) U.S. units in Mariterra are to delay PLA incursions until relieved. Evacuation likely not possible during first weeks of contact.
2) ROE: Deadly force authorized. Hold fire unless fired upon ROE is lifted.
3) Preservation of U.S. assets and personnel as primary considerations.
4) Preservation of Mariterran Union assets and personnel as secondary considerations.
5) Preservation of civilian infrastructure as tertiary consideration.
6) The following must be held at all costs to ensure U.S. foothold is maintained on Mariterra:
- Airbase Haven (Main reinforcement avenue)
- Cape Rassa (Capital of Mariterra)
- Nexus HQ (Command, Communications, Control Center)
7) In case of PLA incursion, destruction and denial of infrastructure, including bridges, roads, railroads, and airbases is authorized.
8) Destruction of Airbase Rassa, Airbase Gasparilla, and Airbase Orion is authorized to prevent capture by the enemy.

Execution:

The 17th Ranger Battalion is to launch from Airbase Rassa and seize the port of Terra Ceia and investigate the three likely POIs as to where the device will be deployed at. Alpha Company of 3rd Battalion, will seize Terra Industrial due west of the port to search another likely deployment spot. Enemy QRF will be unlikely due to 2nd Battalion pressing into the main city of Terra Ceia.

*In the case that the unknown device is activated, designated rally points for all surviving personnel will be at FOB Laurel and Airbase Rassa.*
